Thanks to those who joined us for the 2008 Folklorists in the South (FITS) meeting at the Lutheridge Conference Center in Arden, North Carolina. This year we explored the opportunities and challenges of working with immigrant and refugee groups in the South. We discussed current research, successful projects and new public programs.
We look forward to seeing you at FITS 2009!
FITS welcomes community scholars, public sector folklorists, academics, students and others working in the field of the traditional arts.
