ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES
-
Only NEW (first-time) PAE presenter participants, or presenters who have not attended PAE since 2004 are eligible to apply. Participation is defined by organizational participation (not individual participation). For example: if you have never attended PAE but a representative from your organization attended in 2005, you are NOT eligible to apply.
-
Applicants are required to attend the full conference from Wednesday, September 29, 2010 through Saturday, October 2, 2010. Applicants will be required to attend the New Colleagues Session on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 5:30 pm.
-
Only not-for-profit presenting organizations in South Arts' nine-state region are eligible to apply. South Arts' nine-state region includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
-
Presenting organizations must have not-for-profit, tax-exempt status or be an official unit of local, county or state government. Applicants must provide proof of not-for-profit or government status.
- Individuals who have already registered for PAE are NOT eligible to apply.
PLEASE NOTE
- Technical Assistance grants are NOT transferable.
- As a grant recipient, you will be required to (1) submit a Final Report Form including a short narrative, (2) notify your federally elected legislators of funding, (3) submit copies of your receipts, and (4) share your PAE experience with other presenters and/or presenting networks in your community, and include this information in your report. The grant award requires at least a 2:1 match (for example, a $950 grant requires a match of $475). Your match can include in-kind expenses such as your salary/time for attending the conference.
- Special consideration will be given to presenters in underserved communities. Underserved communities include those communities in which people lack arts programs, services, or resources due to geography, economic conditions, cultural background, socio-political circumstances, disability, age or other demonstrable factors. The term "community" can refer to a group of people with a common heritage or characteristics, whether or not living in the same location.
- All grant requests are subject to funding availability.
