ARTS = JOBS
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant funds, made possible through the National Endowment for the Arts, were awarded in 2009 in partnership with South Arts' nine member state arts agencies. These grants protect and preserve jobs in the nonprofit arts sector that were threatened by the current economic downturn, and are unique and important validation about the impact that artists and arts organizations have on the national economy.
