Additional Information

South Arts' Priorities - We have identified three priorities that are connected to our new strategic plan and goals. In order to apply for a touring grant, applicants’ projects must include one or more of the following priorities: (a) The engagement of targeted underserved audiences: K-12 students, seniors (individuals who are aging), or individuals with disabilities; (b) The engagement of an in-region artist; and/or (c) A residency of three days or more.

Multiple Applications - Applicants can no longer apply to both the Regional Touring and Southern Fast Track Touring grant programs.  The Southern Fast Track Touring program is a portal to our major grant program, Regional Touring. Beginning in FY12, applicants are eligible to receive a Southern Fast Track grant for only one year, and then must apply to the Regional Touring program in future years. Regional Touring grantees from the past five years are no longer eligible to apply to the Southern Fast Track Touring grant program, and must apply to the Regional Touring grant program.

eGrant - We have transitioned from paper-based applications to an online application submission. All applications must be submitted online at http://southarts.egrant.net. eGrant instructions may be downloaded here.

Regional Touring - As of FY11, Regional Touring applicants are limited to ONE application.

Block-Booked Tours - As of FY11, an additional Regional Touring application will be accepted for block-booked tours only.

Literary Arts - Literary projects are supported by the Literary Arts Touring grant program with an annual deadline; smaller presenters can also apply throughout the year to the Southern Fast Track Touring grant program.

Eligibility - As of FY11, we have redefined who is eligible for our grant programs. A producing organization is not considered a presenter when a guest artist is contracted to perform with its company.
