Torreah ‘Cookie’ Washington will be the featured quilter in the exhibition ‘All That We’ve Carried’ at the Sumter Gallery, November 3, 2022-January 6, 223. She will teach six Quilting Bee for Justice workshops at five different rural community centers to African American senior citizens and one evening course at the Gallery. She will moderate a panel discussion ’Where Do We Go From Here?’ that includes traditional quilt and clay artists, art historians and activists.
