Celebrating the 2026 Jazz Road Tour Grant Recipients

See All News

From the Silver Moon Brewing in Oregon to the Casa Norberto in Puerto Rico, the 2026 Jazz Road Tour artists carry jazz forward connecting the spirit of the music from region to region. Each performance echoes a rich jazz legacy, carried forward by this new wave of artists.

This year’s cohort continues touring through May 2026, reaching audiences from Las Vegas, NV and Denver, CO to Bloomington, IN, Minneapolis, MN, and communities across Oregon—with additional stops in Puerto Rico and beyond. Each performance expands the map of where jazz can live, thrive, and be heard.

“Jazz Road allows artists to tour on their own terms—that’s radical,” says Drew Tucker, Jazz Road Program Director. “If you’re an artist and you’re doing work, you’re an advocate, whether you like it or not.”

Part of South Arts’ national Jazz Road initiative, Jazz Road Tours is made possible through a partnership with five regional arts organizations: Arts Midwest, Mid-America Arts Alliance, Mid Atlantic Arts, New England Foundation for the Arts, and the Western States Arts Federation. Since launching in 2018, the program has opening doors to new audiences and strengthening their presence on stages across the country.

Through Jazz Road Tours, this cohort is connecting with audiences nationwide—bringing the music into new spaces and inviting communities to experience jazz in motion.

Jazz Road is funded by the Doris Duke Foundation with additional support from the Mellon Foundation.
