The band released an album of original music Open Paths and toured Europe. In 2020 her quartet was chosen to perform at the Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival main stage as a Discovery Act.
In 2021 Alex was a recipient of the Chamber Music America Performance Plus Grant, funded to work alongside her chosen mentor Ingrid Jensen (trumpet). The album also features Doug Weiss on bass.
