In Our Own Backyard is a free exhibit and series of public events re-purposing a former industrial space to celebrate the work of local resident and artistic visionary Joe Minter in Titusville, a historically significant Black community in Birmingham. The month-long celebration will engage artists, students, residents, and other stakeholders to collectively envision new means of neighborhood revitalization, community building, and economic growth through the arts.
