Duke Performances will bring the GRAMMY-winning, Charleston, SC-based ensemble Ranky Tanky for a four-day residency featuring campus and community engagement and a culminating performance at Motorco Music Hall on Friday, November 13, 2020. The residency aligns with Duke Performances' broader programmatic focus on the African diaspora and will provide the Duke and Durham communities an opportunity to learn, in a variety of intimate campus and community settings, about Gullah history and culture.
