About the Artist

Born in Jerusalem to parents of Moroccan, Iraqi, Argentinian, and Eastern European descent, raised between Buenos-Aires and Tel-Aviv, and based out of Brooklyn since 2011, Or Bareket is one of the most prominent bassists of his generation, as well as a composer and bandleader with an eclectic yet meticulously cohesive approach. Winner of the 2011 International Society of Bassists' jazz competition, Bareket's distinct lyricism, rhythmic dexterity, and groove-centric approach are clearly present in his playing and writing alike. Bareket's acclaimed third album, “SAHAR” was released in 2022 on Enja Records and saw the band perform over 50 concerts across the EU, US, and Japan. His fourth album, featuring Godwin Louis, Jeremy Corren, and Savannah Harris, and produced by Joel Ross, is set for release in Fall 2024. As a sideman, Bareket boasts a long list of credits with the likes of Joel Ross, Etienne Charles, Marquis Hill, Ben Wendel, Sullivan Fortner, and others.

Godwin Louis, the accomplished saxophonist, composer, educator, philanthropist, humanitarian and entrepreneur is a trailblazer in the world of music and beyond. Born in Harlem, New York, raised in Bridgeport, CT and Port Au Prince, Haiti into a multicultural background rooted in Haitian heritage. Godwin is a Grammy award winner, a finalist of the Monk Institute Saxophone competition, and has a seemingly endless list of high-profile sideman credits that include Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Al Foster, Patti Labelle, Toni Braxton, Prince, Babyface, Madonna, Barry Harris, Wynton Marsalis, and The New York Philharmonic Orchestra just to name a few.

Jeremy Corren is a New York-based pianist and composer. He tours throughout the United States as well as internationally and recorded extensively with Joel Ross, appearing on Blue Note releases KingMaker (2019) and Who Are You? (2020), and most recently featured on Or Bareket's latest project for Enja Records, Sahar (2022). A composer of piano and chamber music, Jeremy has had his music performed by some of New York's finest chamber players, the Mivos Quartet.
Savannah Harris is one of the most prominent drummers under 30 worldwide. In addition to touring with the Or Bareket quartet, Savannah is currently a member of bands led by names such as Cecile Mclorin Salvant, Kenny Barron, and Christian McBride.
