During a 3-day engagement, artist Lonnie Holley will work with a group of children from underserved school districts to create sculptures reclaiming materials found along the Gulf Coast, and incorporating narratives of participants' own neighborhoods. A public dialogue examining project themes and the resulting artworks will be facilitated by Charles R. Wilson, historian, author, and past director of the Director of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi.
