This project aims to engage and educate the Western Kentucky University campus community and students, as well as our broader Southcentral Kentucky region, by providing access to a traditional Cuban artist, Renesito Avich. This artist residency coincides with WKU's campus-wide "International Year of Cuba" and activities will be led and interpreted by the Director of the Kentucky Folklife Program (KFP), Brent Björkman, and coordinated by KFP's folklife specialist, Virginia Siegel.
