“The Griots of West Africa” is a unique opportunity for students and community members of greater Huntsville, Alabama to gain exposure to the rich tradition of West African Dance and Drumming. UAH will host a team of artists affiliated with Nashville-based organization, AfricaNashville, for a 3-day program consisting of educational and performance events. The artists will present and discuss their craft, its history, and its importance, with humanities scholars and community stakeholders.
