We sat down with James "Sparky" Rucker of Maryville, Tennessee, to discuss his National Association of Black Storytellers: Black Appalachian Storyteller Fellowship. With support from this award, Sparky attended a recent NABS gathering, continued his research, and is advancing his storytelling practice.
