At South Arts we believe that civic engagement is key to our mission of enhancing Southern vitality through the arts. So today, on National Voter Registration Day, we encourage you to register and pledge to support the arts this November!
To that end, Americans for the Arts Action Fund has launched its ArtsVote “Make Your Vote Count” pledge campaign with artwork designed by renowned contemporary artist Shepard Fairey. Below, you can find links to State Voter Factsheets for every state in the South, which include the latest updates on all the new election rules and deadlines created post-COVID-19. Take the pledge to make your vote count today, then gain access to high-resolution images of Shepard Fairey's artwork in either English or Spanish.
And remember that in each state in the South, there are groups doing important advocacy for the arts, both on a state and local level! We encourage all the artists, organizations, and communities we work with to support these important organizations and initiatives.
